One of the golden rules in design is "Keep it Simple." The Gemstone Boutique is well laid out and uses a great colour scheme that doesn't distract the eye from the main content of the site which is paricularly important in e-commerce. I find myself drawn towards the navigation and images, encouraging me to view more of this MrSite's content and thus increasing the likelihood of sales.
