Deleting the "Created at Mr Site" Footer

Many people feel that the mandatory "Created at Mr Site" Footer gives their website a bad impression to their visitors. Mr Site have added that footer and link so that they have thousands of links pointing to their own website which is great for their position in the search engines but unfortunatly many people also feel that this is taking advantage of Mr.Site's customers since it is impossible to remove this footer and they clearly state on their website:

MrSite Claims Ad Free?

Most hosts do not include a footer like this and considering Mr Site is not a free service it really shouldn't be there.

On top of this the footer is regularly showing up in search result descriptions which makes it even more annoying especially for proffessional designers who feel that it taints their image.

Mr Site have stated that they do intend to make the footer optional though they recently deleted the Mr Site Footer Debate in the forum so I can not quote their statement. However I managed to save a copy of the first two pages of the debate:

If you would like to prevent the footer from being visible to your website's visitors copy and paste the following code in HTML mode anywhere on the pages you would like to remove the footer:

Though please note that the footer will still be visible to search engines. Here is hoping that they will bring in the option to turn it off as they promised.
